Sew what's important for 2020? I had that decision thrust on me Yesterday!

WARNING! Fire ALERT yesterday 43°C/110°F, high winds and out of the kitchen window I could see Elvis the Helicopter dumping water on the flames.

Our home is in the path of an out of control fire ..

Decision? Fight the Fire or Flee?

Well It was a no-brainer ...

Eyebrow powder, lipstick, Bernina Vintage Sewing machine, Overlocker, Kenneth D King sewing bag filled with my sewing tools, passport, documents, my latest Memade, water, change of clothes and the Rabbit .... That's all folks!

I was surprised at how easy it was to choose the key items that were important for the next decade. I had no regrets. Now that surprised me!

We ran and holed up at MacDonalds in air-conditioned comfort. The bunny and me along with all the others. Three hours later the wind changed. Then it rained. Beautiful cooling rain. Temperature dropped to 26°C/80°Fand the bunny and I went home... to take up where we left off.

But it could have been very different

Praise God.

Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 ….. Sewing the Wardrobe you Can't wait to Wear!

Who do you want to be?

What have you got that can make that happen?

What garments misrepresent you and leave you feeling average?

What would you take from Your Last 10 years into Your New Decade?

The Memades that you can't live without ... Keep the patterns in a safe place, making repeats makes sense

The Work in Progress pile .. Don't bother finishing them if you are Meh about the thought of the finished outfit. If you're not excited now what's the point of wasting more time?

The Patterns on your "To Do" List that make your heart beat fast ... Make them first

The Dreams you have for the Fabric you love .. make them a reality

What really matters at the end of the day ...

If you've done the best with what you have there are no regrets. Should've, Could've, Would've don't cut the mustard. Make the best decisions you can and stand by them. Be your personal best. Stop the habits that don't become you. Don't wait for the right time to start. Thinking is easy. Planning is fun. Stumbling is normal. Picking up yourself and trying again is a good thing to remember to do ... because you won't feel like trying again ... giving up and staying the same is easy.

Sew 2020 is the New Decade fast becoming a reality. I wish you all a decade filled with ...

Clarity, Commitment & Competence ....

giving you the confidence to tackle the next Decade with the Style that Suits you and feels like you!
