Defying COVID 19 with my Sanity Saving Sewing Machine
I'm a deadline Sewist. Uncertainty gives me Sewing Paralysis. Nowhere to go ... no point sewing.
This is where I take a 180 degree turn.
I HAVE to sew for the future, to help me HOPE for the future ... whatever that looks like! I've used this method before, in a few life situations that were uncertain: breaking up with a boyfriend (teenage years not now :-) )changing jobs, coping with husband's cancer (cancer free now), deaths in family .... anything I had no control over.
I'm Sewing my way through this Pandemic and sharing my Sewing journey on Instagram
Sew here we go
*My Sewing plans for this Covid19 year ... I want to sew:
Gym clothes that are funky and colourful
Sweaters/Jumpers for Winter
Dramatic Cardigans
Winter Jumpsuit
Polo Tops
Funky Jeans
Long sleeve tops for Fall & Spring
*My Plans for sharing:
Do a whole lot more on my website
Sewing Technique YouTube movies
Podcast Interviews - Sew Organised Style
Sewing Mentoring/ Life coaching
Video group presentations to sewing clubs
Fabric & Pattern Matchmaking videos
Block Pattern Adventures… watch this space
*Home organisation:
One room at a time
*Life Assessment:
Priorities …
What's great …
What's OK …
What needs changing …
Small steps make up the journey. I'll be shopping my Stash of course. Using what I have to make what I don't have yet. I'm pretty pumped about this plan.
Creating keeps my mind occupied. I want to enjoy and share my journey to the destination … one day the freedom to mingle with people face to face again.
